. Part 6/6 ——————————————————— On August 2001, Lorraine Bracco of Interview Magazine had a talk with Destiny’s Child. The interview was about the backstory of a song, their journey, etc. I’ve cited my favorite part of the interview, that is also #NoteToMyself: _ Beyoncé: "…for our struggles, for our trials and tribulations, because they've made us who we are. If everything was perfect you would never learn and you would never grow." . Lorraine: "And you would never have anything to write about. To be able to turn those situations into art," . Beyoncé: "Exactly." ——————————————————— This is the one of the 6 images series, collaboration with BLUE. The complete series is on medium.com/@eugeniaclara – and on my blog as well ✨🤗 ——————————————————— Photo by Bic Woodworth • Edit by Neill Kumar | BLUE • On frame: Madelyn Grace. ——————————————– If you have the courage to make it through a lonely night with nothing but your self destructive thoughts to keep you company; Darling, you have the courage to make it through anything. — Typical Treatment, ‘Silent Nights’, 2014 ——————————————– I’ve got used to spent the nights alone in my place. Letting every thoughts swirl freely; from the hopeful ponder to the destructive thoughts. I let that happened a lot because I love being alone; so much. . Then, there are times when I feel extra disconnected, like you start the day waking up to a void air with nothing but the streets noise and bird chirping, and you thought; oh, this is the different kind of sad; I need human to get grip of real world. And that’s where I don’t fancy being alone. . So last night, I went for a coffee with my man. My best friend. He’s one of the people I can be comfortable around with. I haven’t seen him for weeks; the last time I saw him was when I gave a farewell hug. At 10 PM I went to the 24 hours cafe to met him. . We sat and talked. And it felt nice. He’s working on his stuff, and I get myself busy, doodling next to him. It’s the comfortable silence, and none of it felt awkward. I still had that destructive thought, but I felt okay cause I am not alone, knowing I can snap back and wake up. He’s the good kind of distraction. . We sat on the cafe until 4 AM. There were thousand of words spoken. Then we went to get ourself Whopper. At 6 AM, we walked for 15 minutes to the nearest station. I took a bus home, and he walked home. We both literally skipped sleep. What a day. . If you have the courage to make it through a lonely night with nothing but your self destructive thoughts to keep you company; Darling, you have the courage to make it through anything. . But sometimes, having someone next to you while you’re not at your best is nice too. And I’m forever thankful for that 🙂
